So Now Wyoming

So now that we're in Wyoming, we have learned that Luke and I are not great long distance drivers. It seems every hour we take a pit stop. Whether it be to buy coffee, take a potty break, or see the scenery, we're continually pulling off that freeway. What would normally be just a 5 hour drive, turns into a 7 1/2 hour trek because we just can't stay in the car! But no complaints here, every moment has been enjoyable.

Our first night in the Grand Teton State Park was better than I could ever had expected. We didn't get settled until 7:00, but soon after, Luke pitched up the tent while I got the dinner "goods" ready. To make it easy on ourselves we had bagel sandwiches. And I must say, those bagel sandwiches were incredible...probably because we had been eating bars and dried fruit the whole eight hours earlier! (We used our new propane cooker to toast our bagels too.)

That night was FREEZING. For some reason we just thought the whole USA was going to by 80-90 degrees outside, so we packed accordingly. Utter foolishness. We made it through, and dug in our bag to find our sweatshirts and long pants. And for those of you who are keeping track of or "road trip menu" we had hash browns and scrambled eggs with green peppers, spinach, salsa, and Mexican mix cheese. Better than a restaurant could've fixed. Luke is such the chef.
