A Blessing and A Burden

Only when packing up everything is one confronted with the bittersweet reality of earthly possessions. "Look at the abundance!" I say one minute, and the next I grovel, "We'll never finish organizing this junk..." As you can see, things are coming together slowly but surely.

Tonight held yet another amazing 'going away shindig' with our friends. There is no way to quantify the sweetness of breaking bread with a group of long time amigos. A perfect send-off for the journey ahead.

All Downhill From Here

Well, it is Monday morning and this place is a disaster. However, it is a disaster with purpose and a final goal in mind. At this point our hope is to finish all packing by Wednesday so we can have the rest of the week to relax, say more 'goodbyes' and deep-clean the apartment.

Yesterday, we were absolutely flooded with gifts and gratitude from everyone at our church. (and you know who you are....thank you!) It is so humbling to have a community of such depth all around us.

A Departure Long Awaited

Even before engagement, we knew our time in the Northwest was limited. At long last, we will be leaving for St. Louis for seminary, July 31st. Between now and then..... I'll spare you the detail of everything that demands our attention.

It is our hope that over the next few weeks we will attempt to keep you posted on all the happenings.
